Connecting employers, communities, and citizens to Job Centers and their resources, programs services and tools.
- Employer Outreach: Connecting employers to services and increasing new employers registered on MoJobs.
- ETT Event: The ETT Event program serves mass layoff / company closures, provides ETT meetings and job fairs to assist dislocated workers.
- Opportunity Populations: Market Resources, Programs, and Job Center Services at events for Veterans, Youth, Justice Involved Individuals, Domestic Workers, and Underserved Rural Individuals
- Community Resource Planning: Strengthening relationships with Urban League, Chamber of Commerce, Local Economic Development, Vocational Rehab, and Work Ready Communities.
- Direct Services and Tools: Promote Apprenticeships, On-The-Job Training, and Incumbent Worker Program, Coursera, WorkKeys, Industry Ready & Missouri Ready Day

Employment Transition Team (ETT) / Rapid Response
Managing staffing reductions and layoffs can be a grueling experience. The decision to lay off employees is one no employer wants to make. However, when layoffs do occur, it's good to know you have a support team ready to meet with affected workers and offer assistance. We know it’s important that you maintain productivity during the transition and we can help. Let us guide you through the process of meeting your legal obligations as an employer, while helping your employees find new career and training opportunities.
The Employment Transition Team (ETT) is available at no cost to businesses and affected workers. As part of the ETT, a Business Support Unit Specialist and local workforce system staff are available to provide guidance to you and reemployment services for your affected employees.
ETT staff can provide information services, including:
- Conducting employee assistance meetings
- Providing Trade Act and other training program information
- Presenting Unemployment Insurance information
- Connecting employees with current job openings
- Assisting with employer layoff obligations
Please Note: If your business is experiencing an employee layoff or worksite closure, know your legal requirements under the federal Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) Act. Refer to the Related Resources section of this page for additional information.
