This orientation will provide you with information specific to the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA), LMI information (using MERIC and/or O*NET online), program requirements, and your responsibilities as a participant. The ultimate goal of WIOA is to help you reach your educational and occupational goals.

Learn how to set up an email account specifically for a job search, open/send/reply to email messages and attach a document. Learn how to access web sites, identify and review job titles, conduct job searches using key words, use the back button and refresh the screen. Prerequisite: Basic Computer, Part 1 & 2 and Intermediate Computer; or working knowledge of the topics in those courses. A Basic/Intermediate Computer skills assessment is required.

4 hour test on Applied Mathematics, Locating Information and Reading for Information. Participants have the opportunity to earn a National Career Readiness Certification upon completion of testing.

Must pre-register at the Monett test site. Valid photo ID is required on day of testing.

MUST HAVE EMAIL ACCOUNT PRIOR TO ATTENDING.
