PRODUCTION OPERATOR
 

The role of a Production Operator is to produce quality parts to meet  customer(s) and Faurecia standards.

The main missions of the role are to:

  • Follow standard work: role of the operator is to follow and apply the best standards to build part in order to ensure safety, quality and productivity.
  • Attend Daily Shift Meeting.
  • Ensure 100% delivery to customer.
  • Take part and improve effectiveness using Lean Manufacturing methods.
  • Install and maintain 5S standards.
  • Work shifts and overtime as necessary.
  • Responsible for the HSE of all personnel working in the areas including visitors. Ensure health and HSE requirements and procedures are adhered to.
  • Carry out Process to correct Quality and Production Standards within cycle time.
  • Escalate issues to Team Leader/ Shift Leader as necessary.
  • Work flexibly in order to meet customer demands and needs.
  • Support commitments established in the ISO 14001 Environmental Policy.
  • Conform to and follow requirements established in Blue Springs Plant ISO 14001 Environmental Management System (EMS) procedures and work instructions.
  • Operator should participate in SMED, tool change on the line if required.
  • Assist with any additional tasks as assigned by the company.
  • Support commitments established in the ISO 14001 Environmental Policy.
  • Ensure all GAP members conform to relevant EMS requirements.
  • Commitment to the highest ethical standards and willingness to adhere to Faurecia’s Code of Ethics and Code of Management.

 

The ideal candidate will have/be: 

  • Experience in production within the automotive industry.
  • Basic level of lean manufacturing techniques preferable but not essential.
  • Strong attention to detail and willing to listen, discuss and ‘bottom out’ issues.
  • Ability to work under pressure to tight time scales.
  • Good decision maker, able to work on own initiative.
  • Self-motivated and task orientated.
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Strong team player.
  • Flexible approach to Business needs.

Benefits/Pay:

Starting rate of pay is $14.25/hour.
Increase of $0.25 after six (6) months to $14.50.
Increase of $0.50/hour after 12 months to $15.00.
Annual increase after the first 12 months (based on market conditions)

PROCESS (SMED) TECHNICIAN

​The role of a Process (SMED) Technician is to start production respecting objectives set in terms of Quality, Cost and Delivery. The main missions of the role are to:

Ensure proper application and follow all HSE procedures in the workplace, including the customer and Faurecia locations.


The ideal candidate will have/be:
  • Technical diploma, preferably with a specialization in injection molding.
  • At least 3 years of manufacturing experience within a fast paced manufacturing environment
  • Preferred to have experience in mold setting
  • Proven ability to undertake tasks of substantial variety or complexity which require an extensive knowledge of fabrication/processing techniques, tools, materials, machines and equipment
  • Working knowledge of Quality system and Health, Safety and Environment skills
  • Strong technical problem solving skills
  • Strong teamwork, interpersonal and communication skills

UAP QUALITY TECHNICIAN

​Our Interiors division is looking for a Quality Technician for its manufacturing plant in Blue Springs, MO.

The main missions of the role are to:

  • Assist production gaps with quality issues, concerns, methods, standards, and related training
  • Lead final inspection evaluations including checksheets, visual inspections, leak testing, CMM analysis, and weld evaluations
  • Monitor and assure proper documentation of QRCIs, and train production associates on quality systems and / or standards as necessary
  • Support other quality-related functions including incoming inspection, development of standard work instructions, surface plate inspection, and drive the Faurecia quality systems to the production floor
  • Follow-up on Quality Alerts and customer concerns to assist Quality Engineering as required
  • Support internal and external audits as needed

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Associates Degree in an Engineering discipline or equivalent work experience
  • Proven quality experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of exhaust systems and related emissions control technologies
  • Experience with Welding
  • Knowledge of GD&T and interpreting prints
  • Experience with Six sigma and MSA
  • Experience with gages, poke yokes, function testers

MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN
1st shift 

The role of a Plant Maintenance Technician is to participate in the Total and Preventive Maintenance (TPM) for all equipment and facilities. The main missions of the role are to:

  • Analyze mechanical and operational problems on assigned equipment and make necessary corrections and running adjustments to maintain maximum production and quality
  • Install, repair and maintain all equipment and facilities
  • Try out equipment after repairs, changeovers or extended downtime
  • Record operational data, such as pressure readings, length of strokes, feeds and speeds for use in set-up and preventive maintenance records
  • Review production schedule and, when equipment is not scheduled for production, perform scheduled maintenance
  • Participate in Production System Efficiency and Quality System Efficiency workshops to support continuous improvement: propose and implement continuous productivity, process and quality improvement actions for all facilities
  • Facilitate equipment moves on the shop floor
  • Give advice on technical specifications of new equipment and alterations on existing equipment and facilities, making sure manufacturing, maintainability and Health, Safety & Environmental requirements are met
  • Set up requisitions for supplies, equipment and facilities
  • Participate in the management of the inventory of spare parts and consumables to eliminate downtime
  • Keep up to date documentation related to maintenance
  • All other duties as assigned

 

The ideal candidate will have/be:

  • Minimum of 3 years of maintenance/engineering experience within a fast paced automotive/manufacturing environment
  • Technical diploma, preferably with a specialization in maintenance a plus
  • Proven ability to undertake tasks of substantial variety or complexity which require an extensive knowledge of fabrication/processing techniques, tools, material, machines and equipment
  • Electro-mechanics and automation skills a plus
  • Working knowledge of Quality system and Health, Safety & Environment skills

IT TECHNICIAN
2nd shift 

Our GIS Division is looking for an IT Technician (2nd Shift) for one of its plant at Blue Springs, Missouri.

  • Support IT issues and users with shop floor/Manufacturing Execution Systems (Level 1 Troubleshooting)
  • Engage L2 or L3 support when necessary.
  • Server disk space management and OS patching.
  • Hardware troubleshooting and replacement
  • Support users for MS Office or other PC subjects as a result of escalation of a Stratos Help Desk system ticket
  • Work with other members of the IT organization to provide solutions to user issues
  • Keep IT management up to date with local and system changes
  • Create and escalate support tickets using the Stratos Help Desk system.
  • Desktop/Laptop setup and distribution
  • Basic Network Troubleshooting and Support
  • Execute failover/failback of shop floor systems on a periodic basis.
  • Ensure back up of systems is properly working
  • Manage local IT budget
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the plant leadership and the IT Region Leader
  • Communicate on a daily basis with plant management. Be part of the plant management daily meetings

 

The ideal candidate will have/be:

  • Associates degree in Information Technology, applicable certifications, or 5 years experience in the function
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and understanding of when to escalate issues.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse population and demonstrate good interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Good understanding of/interest in shop floor systems (sequencing, traceability etc.)
  • Requires familiarity with Microsoft Operating Systems; Win7, Win10 Server 2008 and Server 2012.
  • Requires familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite 2010 products
  • Requires familiarity with software and hardware of PCs and network servers

Cisco VOIP and Networking experience and/or training preferred.

2nd Shift: 2:00 pm - 10:00 pm (Monday - Friday)

**Must be open to working OT if needed.**
